So, as to why you had to spend 20 hours with Microsoft to be told an obvious falsehood, I cannot fathom. It FAT32 with the native tools in Windows 10. Not only can it read and write to it, because it is smaller than 32GB, I can format
FORMAT SD CARD FOR MOULTRIE GAME CAMERA MAC WINDOWS 10
I just pulled out a USB card reader, put in a MicroSD card of 16GB in size and put it in the reader and plugged that reader into a USB port on a Windows 10 64-bit system. Where other people have reported the same in my cursory searches. It is NOT a normal limitation of Windows 10 and I have found NOTHING you likely should consider a clean installation of that system because that is likely a symptom of something larger. If *YOUR* Windows 10 machine will not READ FAT16, FAT32, exFAT, etc. What a complete waste of time and a total oversight on Microsoft's part.ĭid you format a USB stick (one that is less than 32GB) to FAT32? Now I will have to take all of my USB sticks - copy all of the info to my Windows 7 machine, reformat the USB drive to NTFS then recopy it back to the USB so that I can use it on my W10 Machine. I just spent 2 0 hours with Microsoft online support to get learn this.

Now when I take pictures with my digital camera Windows 10 will not read the card.

Why would you make the only way that Windows 10 read a USB or SD card would be in NTFS format?Įvery company in the world makes their cards for the digital cameras in Fat or Fat 32.
